On 6/3/2010, the Shouf municipalities union and Baakline municipality inaugurated the Shouf cultural center that includes a branch for the Russian cultural center, after signing a cooperation agreement with the Russian embassy and the Russian cultural center in Beirut.

The center played an important role in organizing various educational and cultural activities in Baakline and the region. The center works on familiarizing the local community with the Russian culture and it includes a ballet dance school that has become well renowned in the Shouf area. The center offers also music and Russian language classes. The center played a big role in organizing and hosting cultural events in cooperation with the national library of Baakline.

Life is full of colors and shapes and art is its reflection in constant search of its forms. Sometimes it is a glance to the outside and some other times to the inside, based on the artist’s view.

Based on this, the idea of a permanent art gallery exhibition in Baakline was born in order to shed light on the artists and talents and to encourage artistic production and its development, which gives the community a sophisticated civilized character. The Municipality of Baakline presided by Mr. Abdallah Al-Ghosaini started the project of the exhibition and it was inaugurated in June 15, 2017

It summarizes a half-century story of an experience based on attractive artistic drawings inspired by nature and its resources. It has become a touristic site visited by tourists coming from all over the world. Khan Al-Kasr for soap produces since 1961 around 14 types of special soap with different shapes and colors without using any unnatural ingredients. The soap is produced by transforming the main ingredients of its production such as natural oils extracted from olive, coconut and laurel to different artistic shapes.

It is based in the upper floor of Al-dahouq castle and was established in 1959. It includes a permanent exhibition of the work of talented women in the field of textile handicrafts and the art of embroidery.
