The heritage and culture aspects of Baakline are rooted in its ancient history. Decades ago, it was the capital of the Lebanese Maan Emirate and this era is well documented in its national library. Its ancient castles, cultural centers and Khan Al-Saboun (soap market) are witnesses to the traditions of many generations and encounters written in history and engraved in memory.

The Coordination Committee in Baakline was established in 2018 and works in partnership with the municipality of Baakline. One of the committee's goals is to enhance social stability and create a space for positive interaction among the town’s people. The group's work comes within the framework of the United Nations Development Program, which is implemented in partnership with the municipality of Baakline and funded by the British government, along with technical support from the Dawaer Association
